How do I control where the Dock shows up?

This article helps you understand how to control your Dock settings, including how it appears on different websites.

Please note that the Pinned Dock does not work on all websites. It might cause some styling or usability issues. If you find an issue or want us to support a particular website, please let us know via the "Feedback" link in Navigator.

1. Pin and Unpin the Dock through the Settings dropdown

You can easily Pin or Unpin your Dock right from the Dock. Just click your Workspace and Settings dropdown and toggle the "Pin the dock on current website" option as shown below.

2. Using Navigator to Pin or Unpin the Dock

You can open Comake Navigator by pressing the extension button as shown above, or by using the keyboard shortcuts (Opt ⌥  Space on Mac and Ctrl  Space on PC). After opening Navigator, you can select your current App from the sidebar and choose to whether you want the Dock to be Pinned or Unpinned from the current website / App.

2. Using Navigator to Pin or Unpin the Dock

You can choose between the following Dock settings as shown below:

  • Turn the Pinned Dock off on all Pages. This makes it so that you can only open the Dock by clicking the extension button as described above, or by using the keyboard shortcuts (Opt ⌥  Space on Mac and Ctrl  Space on PC).

  • Only show the Pinned Dock on websites you specify. This makes it so that the Dock only shows up automatically on websites chosen by you. You can add Apps and websites from this settings page, or use the methods described in 1. and 2. above.
  • Use Comake's recommended Dock settings. We are constantly testing the Pinned Dock on more and more websites. As we support additional websites, we will add them to the recommended list. You can always overrule recommended settings from this settings page, as well as through the methods described in 1. and 2. above.
  • Add a floating widget to all websites that opens the Comake Dock on hover. This option adds a small widget over your existing webpages that you can drag around and use to open the Comake Dock when you hover over it. You can choose to hide the widget on certain websites and Pin the Dock on other websites using methods 1. and 2. above.

Regardless of your settings, you can always open the Comake Dock by clicking the KnowledgeOS extension button in the top right of the screen. If the extension isn't visible there, you can click the puzzle piece and "Pin" the KnowledgeOS extension to keep it visible in your toolbar.
